Guess The Airline – February 2002 answer

Every month, an airline printed advertisement, minus airline name and logo, is displayed for your guessing pleasure on Guess The Airline. The following is the answer to a previous game.

Very few people Guessed The Airline. Perhaps because the whole idea behind this advertisement was a little too vague? I mean, no particular signs of a continuity in an airline’s advertising campaign. But a few subtle clues were here and there. Ready? Scroll down! The following is a magazine ad featured in a photographer’s web portfolio. (See below for credits)

AeroMexico advertisement, titled: 'Enjoy a higher standard of flying', year unknown, featuring a couple walking by, and describing the features of Club Premier.

How to guess it?

Mission impossible! That’s what it was. Almost. The only clues were perhaps the font, which inspired a few the Clase Premier of AeroMexico. The fact that with a fare like that in First Class, it HAD to be a country not too far from the States. A small clue was the color of the seats in First Class. Perhaps the biggest clue is this airline’s reputation of always being on time. And for those 1-800 freaks, its telephone number.

For amusement reasons, the credits of this advertisement were not displayed during the month of February. But now they are. So, Ladies and Gentlemen, I finally announce that this advertisement comes from the portfolio of one great photographer, J. Brian King, and his Sun King Studio.
